Mohit Pandey of Lucknow has been selected priest in the grand Ram Temple under construction in Ayodhya. He had to go through a very tuff examination to become a temple priest. Mohit Pandey is currently pursuing MA (Acharya) course at Sri Venkateswara Vedic University (SVVU), Tirupati, run by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD).
Three thousand applications were received from all over the country to become priests in Ayodhya Ram Temple. Out of which 200 candidates were shortlisted on the basis of education and experiences. After this, interviewing them, 50 top candidates was shortened among 200 candidates. After this, those candidates were interviewed and given appointment letters for the post of priest in the temple.
Mohit Pandey, who is undergoing training for the post of priest in Ram temple, studied from Venkateshwar Vedic University after completing his studies in Samaveda. After obtaining Acharya's degree from there, he is now preparing for PhD. Mohit (Mohit Pandey) has been studying the religion and rituals of Dudheshwar Ved Vidyapeeth for the last seven years.
About Ram Temple Ayodhya
The Ram temple being built in Ayodhya is a major pilgrimage site for crores of Sanatana Dharma devotees across the world. After a long wait of about 500 years, now the Ram temple is moving towards taking a grand form. This temple will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 24, 2024. After several rounds of tests, 20 priests are being appointed to perform worship in this grand temple. Mohit Pandey of Lucknow is also one of those who got this appointment.
