It is an upcoming romantic comedy film, directed by Prashant Singh and produced by Ekta Kapoor Shobha Kapoor Shailesh R Singh. Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra are playing the main lead role while Jaaved Jaaferi, Aparshakti Khurana and Ruslaan Mumtaz are in the supportings role.
Jabariya Jodi is based on the concept of forced marriages or ‘Pakadwa vivah’ prevalent in Bihar. Pakadwa vivah’ is a practice in which the bride’s family kidnaps the groom and forces him to get married. Sidharth plays the character of Abhay Singh, a Bihari thug, he is delivering so many funny dialogues in Bihari tone. It is scheduled for theatrical release on 2 August 2019
